Brendan Apfeld, PhD

Brendan Apfeld, PhD, is an AI engineer at Omada Health where he helps to build artificial intelligence-powered products in close collaboration with product and clinical experts. He has worked on NLP problems for over a decade and in healthcare for the past 5 years. He holds a PhD in Political Science, a field where he has published two books and multiple papers. Previously he was a middle-school teacher. Outside of work Brendan loves running and cycling and is an avid reader.

Ashley Webb, RN, LDE

Ashley Webb, RN, LDE, serves as the System Diabetes Education Coordinator for Appalachian Regional Healthcare. With a strong background in nursing and public health, Ashley is committed to improving the lives of individuals living with diabetes. Her role as diabetes education coordinator allows her to develop and implement comprehensive education programs to empower patients, their families, and the community with the knowledge and tools to manage diabetes effectively. In addition, Ashley plays a crucial role in leading diabetes support group meetings across the ARH system, where she fosters a supportive and educational environment for those living with diabetes.

Kelly Richards, RDN, CDCES, CTTS

Kelly Richards, RDN, CDCES, CTTS, is a seasoned Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with over 20 years of experience in diabetes management. Currently, she serves as a Senior Manager of Clinical Product at Omada Health, where she collaborates with product and engineering teams to develop innovative interventions that leverage artificial intelligence in cardiometabolic care and diabetes prevention. Her background includes inpatient and outpatient diabetes education, quality assurance for diabetes device companies, diabetes and hypertension program development, and providing virtual cardiometabolic care. Outside of her professional pursuits, Kelly enjoys hiking, kayaking, and macramé.

Dr. Julie Watts McKee

Dr. Julie Watts McKee graduated from the University of Louisville’s School of Dentistry and practiced general dentistry for a decade in Mount Sterling, Kentucky.  She worked in the Office of the Governor during the Brereton Jones administration.  After a few years in regulatory work with the Cabinet for Human Resources’ Office of the Inspector General, she was the public health director for a multi-county health department, giving her experience in the science of public health.  She has been the state’s dental director since 2007, making her the longest-serving dental director in the nation.  Through this position, she serves on the Kentucky Board of Dentistry, the Kentucky Dental Association and is an active member of the Kentucky Oral Health Association.  She also serves as a Commissioner on the Joint Commission of National Dental Examinations

Ann Schutte, MSN, RN, CDCES

Ann Schutte, MSN, RN, CDCES, is a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with experience in both inpatient and outpatient care. Her professional journal has spanned various inpatient and outpatient roles over the past 19 years. She began her nursing career as an LPN and earned her MSN with a focus on Education from Mercy College of Ohio before achieving certification as a CDCES. Ann currently serves as an Ambulatory Clinical Diabetes Education Specialist at UC Health West Chester and as an Inpatient Clinical Diabetes Education Specialist at Bon Secours Mercy Health West. In her dual roles, she supports staff and families in acute care while also advancing safe and effective use of diabetes technology in the outpatient setting, with a focus on CGM initiation, insulin pump therapy, and patient-centered self-management through the DSMES program.

Khristina Ramos, RN, MSW

Khristina Ramos, RN, MSW, serves as the Health Impact Manager at UnitedHealthcare, where she leads initiatives focused on Social Drivers of Health (SDoH) and Health Equity. With a clinical background as a Registered Nurse and a Master’s degree in Social Work, Khristina brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to her role within the Quality department. Her work centers on evaluating population health trends and designing targeted interventions to address members’ fundamental needs. Currently, her primary focus is on three critical health related social needs: housing stability, transportation access, and food security—key areas that significantly influence overall health outcomes. Over the past 18 months, Khristina has collaborated closely with Mom’s Meals, and currently manages the partnership at the local Health Plan level. She continues to identify innovative strategies to close care gaps and ensure members receive the support necessary to thrive.

Cole Bradham

Cole Bradham, Vice President, Business Development joined Mom’s Meals in 2020 and served as the director of Medicaid managed care partnerships before being promoted to vice president in 2024. In his current role, Cole partners with state agencies, managed care organizations, and community-based stakeholders to design and implement member-centered programs that address the most pressing health equity challenges. Prior to Mom’s Meals, Cole worked as a senior account manager at OhioHealth where he was responsible for managing top revenue accounts in the execution of health systems growth plans. He also served as general manager for Optum where he managed six corporate health centers across three states while driving growth goals for the organization. Cole received his Master of Health Administration degree from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Dayton. He is active in  coaching youth sports within his community and volunteers at his church.

Jaclyn Moore, MS, RD, C.S.O

Jaclyn Vaughn Moore is an oncology-certified registered dietitian practicing in Louisville, KY for more than 10 years.  She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a master’s degree in dietetics.  She specializes in alternative nutrition support for patients with cancers of the upper digestive tract and head and neck.  Her professional background includes trauma and critical care nutrition, home infusion, and surgical oncology.  Jaclyn has several recent publications highlighting the benefits of prehabilitation, perioperative nutrition support and complex management of pancreatic insufficiency.”

Jameela Aladimi, PharmD, CDCES

Jameela Aladimi is a clinical pharmacist specializing in ambulatory care and diabetes management. She currently serves as a clinical pharmacist at UC Health, where she is embedded within primary care offices, and as an adjunct assistant professor of pharmacy practice at the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. With over twenty years of living with type 1 diabetes, Jameela is deeply passionate about empowering patients to optimize their self-management of diabetes and improve their overall quality of life.
